The Atlantic Region numerical basketball rankings were released yesterday, and the IUP basketball teams are solidly in as the regular season nears its end. The women are top ranked and the men are fourth. That’s the good news…the bad news is both teams ran into trouble last night at Cal U.

In the Atlantic Region rankings, IUPs women are number one this week. Gannon, Saturday’s opponent, is seeded number two, followed by Winston-Salem State, Seton Hill, Fayetteville State, Glenville State, Fairmont State, Edinboro, Concord, and Charleston.
The men’s rankings place Gannon on top, followed by West Liberty, Fairmont State, IUP, Virginia Union, Cal, Fayetteville State, West Chester, Charleston, and East Stroudsburg.
After Saturday’s key doubleheader against Gannon, the PSAC playoffs get underway on Monday.
