Indiana High grad Katie Kovalchick led Washington & Jefferson College to a come-from-behind 64-43 win over St. Vincent Saturday in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Tournament Championship game. Kovalchick led all scorers with 22 points, including the first seven of the third quarter after W&J trailed by a point at halftime. She and teammates Stellanie Loutsion and Jina DeRubbo were named to the All-Tournament Team. Loutsion was named Most Outstanding Player.
Kovalchick and W&J won their second straight PAC championship and eighth in program history. They get the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
