The IUP Crimson Hawks made school history Thursday night by advancing to the NCAA Division II Women Basketball Championship Game for the first time. IUP punched its ticket to the big game by defeating Colorado Mesa, 75-70, in a Final Four game in UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse at Duquesne University. The IUP women’s program made the Final Four in 2018 and 2019, but this is first time the team advanced to the title game.

Grand Valley State was the winner of the other Final Four semifinal, defeating UAH (University of Alabama in Huntsville), 61-39. The championship game will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday.
