Indiana County Commissioner Sherene Hess is scheduled to testify at a hearing held by the Center for Rural Pennsylvania.
The first of the multi-part hearings will be held April 17th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center in Tioga County. The hearing will focus on the impact of data centers in rural communities, specifically their economic, infrastructure, and environmental implications.
Hess, along with Tioga County Commissioner Shane Nickerson, are expected to share their perspectives as elected leaders of communities that will be directly impacted by the development of data center campuses like the one being built at the former site of the Homer City Generating Station.
A livestream of the hearing will be available at www.SenatorGeneYaw.com.
