The Purchase Line School District has issued a statement concerning a weapon on campus.
Upon arriving at school Tuesday, a high school student realized they had a pocket knife in their possession and immediately turned it into the principal. The principal then confirmed that no other contraband was found. Officials say that at no point was anyone threatened or harmed.
Notifications were sent out to the district community the same day as part of the requirements of Act 44 of 2025 regarding parental and employee notification of weapon incidents.
