Indiana County’s Commissioners Wednesday morning approved motions concerning fair housing.
A proclamation of Fair Housing Month, a resolution on behalf of the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Communities of Indiana Borough and Center Township were approved. LuAnn Zak with the County Office of Planning and Development talked about the importance of the motions.
Commissioners also approved designating Community Development Analyst Christina Coleman as the Fair Housing Officer for the county.
The commissioners also approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the county and the Airport Municipal Authority. He said during the meeting that this came before the Commissioners today was because of some restructuring among the authority board.
The memorandum sets the responsibilities both sides have concerning the airport.
