Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin has signed the largest deal in team history.
As reported by the Bucs this morning, he has agreed to a nine-year contract worth reportedly $140 million. That tops Bryan Reynolds’ deal in 2023 that secured him $106.75 million. In a statement, Griffin said that it feels great knowing his long-term future is secure and now he can focus on playing baseball.
He says that “the goal is to win every year. And I believe we can do that.”
