Wave Ryder Sweet Shoppe in downtown Homer City has officially closed.
It was posted on their Facebook page Thursday afternoon that after 3.5 years of business, today would be their last day in operation. This comes after an announcement earlier this month, stating that they would be closing due to parking issues related to the influx of drivers through town, which is a product of the gas plant and data center project by Homer City Redevelopment.
In the announcement, owner Gilbert Woodley thanked the community for it’s support and the opportunities it gave them to give back.
