A Johnstown man was arrested by Indiana Borough Police after he was found with a loaded weapon in his car last Friday. Officers pulled over a car for a summary traffic offense in the 400 block of Philadelphia Street. Police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and discovered the passenger, 22-year-old Tyrese Young, had a loaded firearm and controlled substances in a bag in the vehicle. Police said while Young was the rightful owner of the gun, he did not have a valid concealed carry permit. Along with carrying loaded weapons, Young faces charges of firearms carried without a license, possession of a controlled substance and the summary driving count. Charges were filed through District Judge Anthony Sottile’s office.
An Indiana Man faces charges connected with an intentional burnout of tires last Friday night. Indiana Borough Police say 21-year-old Mason Fetterman of Indiana was seen and heard doing tire burnouts to the point that it produced a large cloud of smoke. The engine and exhaust noise could be heard from several blocks away from the incident, which was reported in the 400 block of Gompers Avenue. Fetterman is charged with disorderly conduct, reckless driving, a noise violation and summary traffic violations.
