Indiana firefighters were called out for a crash this morning in the area of Maple Street and Fleming Avenue.
The crash was reported at 7:15 this morning. Indiana Fire Association members said in initial scanner reports that one vehicle crashed into a utility pole, bringing down some electric lines. The driver was not hurt.
Maple Street is closed from Wayne Avenue to South 7th Street as Penelec crews replace the pole and clear the wires. Power is out to 13 of the utility company’s customers and a traffic light at Maple and Wayne is out. Drivers are reminded to treat that intersection like a four-way stop until the signal is restored. Crews expect to wrap up work by 11:00 this morning.
