Multiple fire departments were sent out for a structure fire at a restaurant along Route 22 yesterday.
Indiana County 911 reported at fire at the Valley Dairy restaurant at 4:49 PM and sent Blacklick, Blairsville, Coral, Clyde, Armagh and Indiana Fire departments along with the county RIT team and Citizens’ Ambulance. When crews arrived, they discovered that some mulch caught fire, and that sparked a fire in some of the insulation behind the stucco. Minor damage was reported to a two-by-two foot area on the outside.
Blacklick fire officials dismissed all but their own crews along with Coral Graceton and Blairsville to stay on scene. The exact cause of the mulch fire is unknown.
