The crash was reported at 8:52 AM by Indiana County 911. Indiana firefighters were sent to the scene along with State Police and Citizens’ Ambulance. Fire officials said the crash was a chain-reaction rear-end collision as a sedan had stopped near the entrance of Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic in the Northbound Lane when it was rear-ended by an SUV, who in turn was rear-ended by a medical transport van. The van’s airbag was deployed.
The driver of the van was taken to IRMC for treatment of unknown injuries. The other drivers were not hurt. Crews were on the scene for about a half-hour to investigate and clean the site.
