Carol Ann Pappal, 83, of Indiana, Pa. passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Rose Haven Personal Care Home.
She was born in Indiana, Pa. on March 5, 1943, to the late Andrew (Popel) Pappal and Anna Oresik Pappal.
Carol lived in France during her junior year at Indiana State College, majoring in French education. She taught for the Purchase Line School District.
She was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, where she was in the CDA and the Legion of Mary.
She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, photography and studying health, as well as traveling.
She was a two-time breast cancer survivor.
Surviving Carol are her siblings, sister, Diana (Tom) Isenberg of Ohio, and brother, David (Terri) Pappal of Texas, nieces and nephews Michael Isenberg. Vincent (Carolyn) Isenberg. Molly Isenberg, Curtis (Ashleigh) Isenberg, Christine (Ken) O’Donnell, Scott (Jaclyn) Flynn and Ryan Pappal. She is also survived by her great nieces and great nephews, Alexis, Andrea, Alex, Maykala, Aric, Andy, Conner, Collin, Ava, Wesley, Audrey, William, and JoAnna.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a nephew James Flynn and a niece Sarah Isenberg.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, 200 Clairvaux Drive, Indiana. Inurnment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
