The Pirates’ bats were lethal last night in Sacramento, and they are back over .500 after a second straight victory over the A’s.

Ryan O’Hearn says the Bucs’ two consecutive wins, coming after Monday night’s blowout loss, were big.
O’Hearn had three hits on Tuesday and three more last night. He says he’s been trying to drive the ball to the opposite field.
The Pirates have the day off today and open a three-game set in Denver against the Colorado Rockies tomorrow night.
A Konnor Griffin update: the Bucs’ rookie shortstop went to Florida this week to continue his recovery from a low-grade flexor muscle strain of his right forearm and reported yesterday that he is throwing at distances as long as 150 feet and feels no pain. He threw on Monday and Tuesday, took yesterday off, and expects to throw again today.
The Pirates have not yet announced when Griffin will begin a minor league rehab assignment.
