Indiana County first responders were busy on Wednesday with two crashes and a fire reported.
The first crash was at 3:00 AM on an area of Tanoma Road in Rayne Township. Marion Center and Clymer fire departments were sent out at the time. Marion Center fire officials said that there were injuries in the crash as a motorcycle hit a deer. The other crash was on Route 56 East in Brush Valley Township at 5:43 PM. Brush Valley fire department was sent out. Details on this crash were not released.
A structure fire was also reported in Derry Township yesterday. The fire call went out at 12:30 PM for the Pace Industries building on Industrial Boulevard. Black Lick fire department was sent in at 12:40 PM to assist crews on-scene. Fire officials said employees were working with molten metal in a furnace and the metal splashed, touching the fire off. Crews were on-scene for less than an hour. No injuries were reported and the building took on minimal damage.
