District Attorney Robert Manzi has announced that a Clymer woman has pled guilty to animal abuse charges.
Manzi reports that 31-year-old Palina Williams entered guilty pleas to one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, two counts of Cruelty to Animals, and single counts of Intimidation of a witness and design/copy of obscene material for the incident on February 20th of this year.
On that day, Williams was allegedly trying to get rid of a dog she owned. She originally asked a friend to shoot the dog, but when they refused, she decided to abandon the dog on the side of the road.
The dog was found with several fractures and a stomach full of chicken bones. When Williams realized that the friend had contacted law enforcement, she published partially naked photos of the friend on social media.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 25th.
