Gas prices across the state hold steady while the national average starts to go up once again.
The national average has gone up by six cents to $3.85 a gallon this morning, according to AAA. The reason for the gas prices are going up is due to the uncertainty that once again surrounds the ongoing issues between the U.S. and Iran. Crude oil prices are currently in the $70 per barrel range, but could go up if volatility continues in the Strait of Hormuz. Pennsylvania’s average remains steady over the last week at $3.97.
Indiana County’s average is at $3.94 a gallon. Among the surrounding counties, Cambria has the lowest average at $3.88
while Armstrong County remains the highest at $4.18.
As of this morning, gas prices in Indiana Borough and White Township are at $3.89. That’s also the prices reported at Sheetz and Kwik Fill this morning. Accent Fuels price this morning is $3.85.
