IUP has named the director of assessment and quality improvement for its new College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Charles Iadanza comes to IUP from Duquesne University’s Nasuit College of Osteopathic Medicine and a similar institution with the New York Institute of Technology at Arkansas State University. His work has included developing assessment and research initiatives, supporting curriculum and program development, and using data to improve student learning and institutional effectiveness. As director of Assessment and Quality Improvement, he will be responsible for leading the development of the college’s assessment and continuous quality improvement processes, working with faculty and college leadership to evaluate student learning and curriculum effectiveness, support accreditation, and using data to guide educational and institutional improvement.
In a statement, Iadanza said he was excited about the opportunity, saying “The opportunity to help build a culture of continuous improvement while supporting the College’s commitment to strengthening rural health and preparing physicians to serve communities across Pennsylvania is incredibly meaningful to me.”
