Gas prices in Pennsylvania have spiked as we approach the Labor Day travel period, while the national average remains steady.
The national average according to Triple-A this morning is $4.09 a gallon, which holds steady over the last week and a penny lower over the last month. Pennsylvania’s average is at $4.25 a gallon, a jump of seven cents from the week before and four cents over the last month.
Indiana County’s average dipped slightly over the week to $4.33 after a jump of 23 cents the prior week. Among the surrounding counties, Jefferson County has the lowest average at $4.25 a gallon, while the highest is Clearfield at $4.37.
Gas prices in Indiana, Blairsville and Clymer are hovering around $4.35 to $4.39 this morning. Along the Route 119 corridor, both Sheetz and Kwik Fill are at $4.29 this morning while Accent Fuels is $4.09.
