PennDOT has announced details on the second “Superload” trip from Armstrong to Indiana County.
Starting at 9:00 on Monday, the second load of equipment for the Homer City Generating site will be on the road. Edwards Moving and Rigging will follow the same route from Schenley to Leechburg and Apollo to Delmont, then onto Route 22 towards Blairsville and pull off to a staging area to install more equipment. Travel will resume at 7 PM just west of the Indiana-Westmoreland County Line until they reach their pull off point for the night. The trip resumes at 9:00 AM on the 22nd near Blairsville and will follow the same route on Campbells Mill Road to Black Lick Road to the plant.
Drivers are reminded that traffic will be slow moving once again, and similar traffic stoppages will be put into effect near the county line. Similar closures will also happen on the 22nd near the end of the route.
More trips are expected through October and for a few weeks in November and in January.
