The second “Superload” is scheduled to resume travel once again this morning.
Officials with Edwards Moving and Rigging say the second load of equipment that started out from Armstrong County yesterday is expected to be on the move again at 9:00 this morning from a pull off point on Route 119 near Blairsville to Power Plant Road in Center Township. Just like last week, there will be some temporary closures in effect for this leg of the tour, including the first portion of Campbells Mill Road. Traffic will also be affected on Black Lick road before going onto Power Plant Road. Drivers in the area should expect some delays, use alternate routes when possible and allow additional travel time where necessary.
The load should arrive at the Homer City Generating Site by noon today, but that is subject to change due to road conditions.
Several more “superload” deliveries are expected through October, then during parts of November and January.
