While many of the cases on the docket for district court today deal with driving under the influence, one case will deal with assault charges.
That hearing is scheduled for this morning for 53-year-old Penny Lea Timko of Indiana. She is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault-attempt to cause serious bodily injury along with summary counts of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct for an incident that was reported on October 2nd.
Also due in court today for a preliminary hearing is Nicole A. Zaucha of Indiana. She is charged with two felony counts of fraudulently obtaining food stamps for an incident in October of 2024.
Both hearings will be in front of District Judge Susanne Steffee this morning.
