In Westmoreland County, Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio has set a new date for an update on the murder trial of Robert Patrick Jack, the 21-year-old accused of being the triggerman who shot and killed Alice Robson at her home outside of New Florence, in Saint Clair Township, in December of 2023. Jack is charged with criminal homicide, murder of the first and third degree, and conspiracy. His two co-defendants, Melissa Fox-Beacom and Matthew Bates, have already been convicted and sentenced to life in prison, but both have appealed. They claim Jack acted on his own and went mad when they tried to talk him out of shooting Robson.
Jack cooperated with prosecutors in trying the cases against Fox-Beacom and Bates. The new date for his status conference is December 23rd.
