Ronald Emerson White, 81 of Indiana, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Born in Indiana, February 20, 1943, he was a son of the late Ernest White and Sara (Pierce) White. He was the husband of Irene M. (Schmidt) White, whom he married 1977.
Ron was a graduate of the former Laura Lamar High School in Homer City. He worked for more than 30 years at Gazette Printers in Indiana, but his passion was working on his family’s dairy farm, Lone Valley Farm.
He was a member of the Indiana County Farm Bureau, was a Master Gardner with the Penn State Extension and he was a proud supporter of 4-H.
Ron was also a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, Irene, Ron is remembered by his children: Robert Andrew White (Elizabeth Marie) and Barbara Ann Barker (Eric), all of Indiana. His five surviving grandchildren are: Damian Andrew White; Katlyn Marie White; Noah William White; Emily Ann Barker and Olivia Mae Barker. He is also missed by two surviving siblings: Roberta D. Adams and Linda D. Anderson, both of Indiana. Additional family members include his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the following siblings: Elaine Montgomery; Dick White; Violet Shaffer and Loretta Jacobs.
Visitation is Sunday, September 1st from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory, 965 Phila St., Indiana. Interment will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
