Indiana Regional Medical Center is on the front line to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, and they are using tele-medicine services for appointments with physicians in the IRMC physician’s group as a way to prevent the spread of covid-19.
The tele-medicine service at IRMC can be done over video chat with a smart phone, tablet or computer with a webcam. The service is recommended for non-emergency situations like aches and pains, cold or sinus problems, follow-up visits, chronic disease management, and other general health concerns. Dr. Jonathan Scholl of IRMC said that the video chats are a big help for the doctors.
Tele-medicine services are also available as a regular voice call. So far, the program had 300 visits over the last week using tele-medicine service.
To set up a tele-medicine appointment or change an upcoming appointment to a tele-medicine appointment, you can call the IRMC Physician Group at 888-452-IRMC
