Leota Mae Gromley, 78 of Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at her home.
She was born February 21, 1946, to Robert and Martha (Fox) Gromley.
Leota was a member of Homer City Church of the Nazarene. She worked as a social worker for over 25 at Warren State Hospital. Leota loved her dog, Bella. Most of all she loved her family and the Lord. Leota was a devout Christian, praying for her family every day.
She is survived by a daughter, Rene Curren, Rural Valley, a son Shawn T. Curren (Sonya), Irwin, 10 grandchildren, Joshua D. Vanderslice (Brianna Geist), Wesley A. Vanderslice (Andrea), Shawn P. Curren, Charity A. Pollard (Nathan), Courtney Deemer (Jake), Rebecca K. Curren, Emma L. Roach (Noah), Laura J. Curren, Noah J. Curren, Rachael R. Curren, four great grandchildren, Finnley and Torin Vanderslice, Wyatt and Teagan Pollard, a brother Thomas Gromley, Smicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Patricia Pallone, Jean Williams and a sister-in-law Carol Gromley.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Hwy 119 N., Indiana, PA 15701, with Martin Early officiating.
