Police in Blairsville Borough this morning arrested a Blairsville man wanted on a warrant for missing a criminal call hearing.
Officers spotted 32-year-old Andrew Ostrawski at the Sheetz along East Market Street. Police were aware of the active warrant and double-checked with Indiana County 911 before trying to apprehend him. He led the police on a brief foot chase but was eventually taken into custody. He continued to resist arrest after he was captured.
He faces charges of DUI, possession of a controlled substance evading arrest and other crimes for an incident on August 13th of 2024. He now faces additional counts of resisting arrest, evading arrest or detention on foot, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.
