One person was killed in a crash that happened yesterday afternoon in West Wheatfield Township.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. said at 1:17 PM Wednesday, 54-year-old Stanley Clay Henderson was driving south on Reynolds Road when he went off the berm and struck a large boulder. The impact caused his vehicle to go airborne. His car landed front first and rolled onto the driver’s side. Henderson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Overman believes that Henderson may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash. The cause and manner of death are pending the results of an investigation into how the crash happened, which is ongoing. State Police were joined by Citizens’ Ambulance Service and firefighters from New Florence and Bolivar fire departments.
