The members of KATSEYE are opening up about the high volume of hate they’ve received since debuting in 2024.
During a conversation with BBC News, member Lara Raj said “as time goes on and on, the stakes just get higher.” She revealed that they receive death threats, adding “even if it’s not going to happen, it’s heavy and it’s jarring.” Member Sphia Laforteza also confirmed that their families and friends have to put up with online attacks. She added that they “know it’s a part of fame, but it doesn’t change the fact” that they are human.
KATSEYE recently nabbed a best new artist Grammy nomination ahead of next year’s awards.
