Three vehicle crashes and two fires were reported on Thursday by Indiana County 911.
The first call of the day was in Canoe Township on Smyerstown Road at 12:39 PM. Rossiter Fire Department, Punxsutawney EMS and State Police from the Punxsy Barracks were dispatched for the crash. The second was at 5:32 PM on Old William Penn Highway in Burrell Township. State police from the Indiana Barracks, Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments and Citizen’s Ambulance were sent to the scene. The third crash was on Route 240 in Green Township. Commodore fire department was sent out at 7:21 PM
The first fire was on Griesmore Road in Green Township at 5:59 PM. Commodore, Pine Township and Hope fire departments were sent out along with Veterans EMS. The second fire call was at 10:25 PM on Black Lick Road in Black Lick Township. Aultman, Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were sent out for what Indiana County 911 called a small fire under a porch deck.
