Indiana County’s first responders had a relatively quiet day on Tuesday.
Crews had to deal with two reported gas leaks yesterday. The first was on Philadelphia Street in Indiana. Indiana fire and police departments were sent out at 8:14 last night. Fourteen minutes later, Indiana firefighters were sent out for the second reported gas leak. This time, it was on Lincoln Avenue in White Township.
Indiana County 911 also reported a vehicle crash on Route 553 in Pine Township. The Pine Township and Nicktown fire departments were dispatched at 11:30 PM along with state police and Citizen’s Ambulance.
Pine Township fire officials said that the driver of the car hydroplaned before hitting the guide wire of a utility pole along the road. No damage was reported to the pole, but the car took on minor damage. No injuries were reported.
