Indiana County’s first responders were busy this morning with three vehicle accidents.
The first was reported at 6:56 AM on Saltsburg Road in Young Township. Iselin-West Lebanon and Coal Run-McIntyre fire departments were sent out at the time. According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, Iselin-West Lebanon fire officials reported it was a one-vehicle accident in the area of Maryai Road. One person suffered unknown injuries.
The second was on Route 422 in Cherryhill Township at 9:05 this morning. Officials with the Cherryhill Township fire department said that a vehicle actually slid off the 553 off ramp to Penn Run and while it went 50 feet off the road, it did not collide with anything. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was abandoned.
The third was reported at 11:19 this morning, and initial scanner reports said that a vehicle had rolled over onto its roof in a ditch on Route 217 North between Hunter School Road and Nehrig Road. Black Lick, Blairsville and Aultman fire departments were dispatched. One person was reportedly trapped in the vehicle. It’s not known if anyone was injured in the crash.
State Police and Citizen’s Ambulance Service were also sent out to assist with the crashes.
