Evgeni Malkin was served a five game suspension for a high-stick/slash against Rasmus Dahlin during the Pens loss to the Sabres Thursday night.
This came after Malkin was cross-checked several times by Dahlin. Malkin can return to the lineup March 16th when the Pens play the Avalanche. During this suspension, Malkin will forfeit $158,854.15. That money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
