Italy shocked Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, knocking off the Americans, 8-6, to take the lead in Pool B. The U.S. has completed its pool at 3-1 while the Italians play Team Mexico today to complete pool play.
If Italy wins, the U.S. advances to the elimination round. If Mexico wins, there is a three-way tie atop Pool B and tiebreakers will be used to determine which two teams advance.
In the other two games, Canada will face Cuba and the Dominican Republic will take on Venezuela.

The Pirates had Tuesday off and will play the Orioles in Sarasota today.
