Windows have been removed at the former banquet facility on Oakland Avenue. The facility closed in 2022 after more than 75 years of hosting events ranging from banquets to weddings to proms. The final owners were the Lubold Family, who purchased the hall in July of 1945.
Since the closing, plans have moved forward with the White Township Planning Commission to approve a Chick-Fil-A restaurant on the property at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Rustic Lodge Road. This includes approval of minor alterations earlier this month as part of efforts to keep vehicle traffic moving.
No word on when the restaurant will open, but builders promise a quick construction period.
