Indiana Borough Council will meet tonight for a work session with two items on the agenda.
One is to approve the conditional use request for the conversion of property at 59 and 63 south 9th Street into a parking lot. The other motion is for approval for the Step Up for Students 5K on Sunday, May 31st at 9:00 AM. The race will go through Indiana Borough and parts of the IUP Campus and White Township.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 PM at the Indiana Borough Office.
Blairsville borough council is also scheduled to meet tonight and two projects funded through Local Share Account funds will be discussed.
One of the projects on the agenda is the Fire Department roof. $199,900 was awarded last December by the Commonwealth Financing Authority for the project to replace the roof at the volunteer fire station. The other project is the Blairsville Police Garage. $859,090 is coming from the LSA funds to build a new police garage with four ports and a fortified entryway along with connecting breezeway between the garage and the police station.
Also on the agenda is the listing of two borough-owned lots for sale. One of them is for 276 Morewood Avenue and the other is 320 North Liberty Street.
The meeting starts at 5:30 at the borough building.
