State police, Indiana Regional Medical Center, and the Indiana County Technology Center are conducting a joint training exercise today.
The drill is designed to help all participating agencies practice and refine their response to medical emergencies, while also meeting important regulatory and trauma accreditation requirements. The scenario will simulate a multi-patient accident at the Technology Center, with victims transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center.
Officials say people visiting either location may notice emergency activity during the exercise. However, access to both facilities will remain open.
The emergency department at Indiana Regional Medical Center will continue operating as usual, and the Technology Center will also remain open. Visitors to the Technology Center will be asked to sign in at the office.
