BASEBALL
Charlie Manzi cracked a walk-off double, one of his three hits on the day, as Indiana topped Armstrong, 4-3. Manzi also got the win on the mound for Indiana, which also got a double and an RBI from Sully VanHoose.
Northern Cambria pushed across a run in the top of the eighth to trip up Homer-Center, 5-4. Zak Kirsch was 4-for-4 with two doubles and a walk for the Colts while Parker Shutty and Braden Bougher each had two hits, Brady Hoover drove in two runs and Levi Czar tripled and drove in a run. For Homer-Center, four different players had singles and Eli Turk drove in two runs.
Liam Roach had three hits, Troy Slovinsky had two hits and drove in three runs, and Trent Slovinsky and Tyler Phillips had two hits as Marion Center got by River Valley, 8-6. Braden Baker had three hits for River Valley, and Cameron Stouffer, Zeke Doak and Landon Cecconi all had two hits for the Panthers.
Conemaugh Township outslugged Portage, 13-9. Colin Dinyar had three hits and three RBIs for the Indians, and Greyson Studer, Devin Lohr, and DJ Bambino all had two hits. For Portage, Easton Slanoc had three hits and Lucas Shuniak and Brayden Ciokota both had two.
SOFTBALL
It took nine innings, but Indiana took down Ligonier Valley, 7-6. Claire Brewer was 3-for-4 with a triple, and Rylin Blystone, Samantha Martin and Anna Carnovale all had two hits, with Carnovale driving in the game-winner.
Khylee Beer was 3-for-3 with two triples and a walk and she drove in four runs to lead Homer-Center over Northern Cambria, 8-7. The Wildcats scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to overtake the Lady Colts, with Beer knocking in the walk-off run with a base hit. Taicha Bartlebaugh had three hits and Isabelle Rowland had two for Homer-Center. For Northern Cambria, Quinn Bernecky and Alyssa Yahner each had two hits.
Kaily Anderson homered and drove in three runs and Brookelynn Hill, Gracynn Silvis, and Hannah Runk all had two hits in Marion Center’s 8-3 win over River Valley.
Conemaugh Valley edged United, 3-1. Preslee Campbell had two hits for the Lions, including a double. Five Blue Jays batters each had a hit and Maddie Beiter struck out fourteen United hitters. Ella Worthington struck out twelve in the circle for the Lions.
Kaitlynn Houser and Julia Matko both had three hits, and Leah Nelson, Addessa Beer, and Rylee Mahaffey all had two in Purchase Line’s 12-3 non-conference win over Mo Valley.
Portage wiped out Conemaugh Township, 10-0, with Reese Pinizzotto striking out nine in the shutout, including her 100th K of the season. She also drove in three runs. Kendall Stancovich and Adasyn Trusik each had two hits. For CT, Andie Hunsberger had two hits.

TENNIS
Number six seed Indiana fell to number two North Catholic in a tight WPIAL 2A semifinal match yesterday. In the other semi, Quaker Valley knocked off top seed Blackhawk, 3-2 to advance to the final. Indiana will play Blackhawk in the consolation round tomorrow.
