A preliminary hearing is scheduled today for an Allegheny County man charged with a shooting in March in Indiana Borough.
Court documents show 22-year-old Tymere Johnston of Clairton is scheduled to go before District Judge Anthony Sottile this afternoon. He is charged with prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property for an incident on March 21st near the intersection of School Street and West Avenue. Five shots were fired into the air before the shooter got in a car and sped off. The car was pulled over minutes later on Route 119 and Johnston, a passenger in the vehicle, was found with a .40 caliber handgun.
This marks the third attempt at a preliminary hearing for Johnston.
