The WPIAL softball playoffs begin today with a Class 4A matchup of fifth-seeded Indiana and number twelve Uniontown at Norwin High School. Indiana is 14-5 and finished second in Section One. Uniontown is 10-8, and finished the regular season in a tie for third in Section Two. The winner today plays the winner between Hampton and Greensburg Salem, which is also being played today.
Top seed Indiana has the week off after drawing a first-round bye in their Class 4A playoff baseball bracket. They will play the winner of today’s game between number eight Knoch and number nine Blackhawk.
