Homer-Center had to make the long bus trip to State College to play their District 6 Class A quarterfinal game yesterday, but the Wildcats had no problems against the Saint Joseph.

The Wildcats defeated Juniata Valley in the D6 Class A championship game last season. Homer-Center coach Scott Bauer says his team will be ready for the Hornets on Friday.

At Northern Cambria, the Colts took on Heritage Conference rival Conemaugh Valley in their quarterfinal game.

Northern Cambria coach Skylar Eckenrode started Brady Hoover, who threw five innings of three-hit ball, giving up one unearned run.
Claysburg-Kimmel defeated Purchase Line 12-3 yesterday. Eckenrode says Claysburg-Kimmel will be ready for the Colts on Friday.
In Class 3A, Philipsburg-Osceola ended Marion Center’s season, 11-1.
