Now officially approved as the new owners of the Pittsburgh Penguins, representatives of the Hoffman Family of Companies will hold an introductory media conference this morning at 11 AM at PPG Paints Arena.
Team governor Geoff Hoffman will be joined by alternate governors David and Greg Hoffman, and very likely by president of hockey operations and alternate governor Kyle Dubas, who with his hockey operations staff is preparing for this weekend’s draft. The Pens will have five selections in the draft, barring any trades.
NHL
Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports that the Penguins are going “big-game hunting” on the trade market, but one of their targets, Buffalo star defenseman Bowen Byram, was traded instead yesterday to the Chicago Blackhawks.
As usual the biggest names rumored to be offered as trade bait by Dubas are top-line wingers Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust.
