Homer City Post 493 split a doubleheader with Mount Pleasant, losing 3-2 in the first game and winning 5-3 in the nightcap.
All of the scoring came in the first two innings of Game One, with Mount Pleasant picking up two runs in the second to take a 3-2 lead. Post 493 was held to six hits, all but one of them singles. Brayden Rado doubled, and Shane McHugh, Hunter Kunkle, Nash Budner, Drew Fisher, and Brock Lewis all singled. Max Drew took the complete-game loss.
In the second game, Post 493 broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the fifth inning for the 5-3 win. Budner had three hits, including a double, Kunkle homered and drove in two runs, and Ben Cowburn, Dom Shimko, Aidan Race, and Austin Calvetti all singled. Rado picked up the win in relief of Lewis.
