Homer City Post 493 swept a Senior Legion doubleheader from Burrell Post 868 on Sunday, winning both games by one run.
In the opener, the Bearcats scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to wipe out a one-run deficit and win 6-5. Brayden Rado had two hits and Hunter Kunkle and Drew Fisher both doubled and drove in two runs. Connor James threw three shutout innings to close out the game and get the win, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out five.
In the second game, Post 493 scored a run in the top of the seventh to break a 4-4 tie and win the ballgame. The Bearcats took advantage of three Burrell errors to score two unearned runs in the game. Drew Fisher had three hits and drove in a run and Bowen Blystone had two hits and drove in two.
Post 493 is 9-3 and will play at Unity tonight.
