The Pirates have struggled against left-handers all season long and last night they faced one of the best. And for the second time this season, Christopher Sánchez was too much for them.

Manager Donnie Kelly says the Pirates failed to force Sánchez to to be less comfortable in the strike zone.
Kelly says the Pirates’ offense has to get back at it today against Zack Wheeler.
The four-game series rolls on tonight in Philly. It’s a marquee pitching matchup, featuring two big right-handers. Paul Skenes (6-7, 3.10 ERA) has not won since May 12th, an eight-start drought in which he has gone 0-5 with a 4.40 ERA. He will face the Phils’ Zack Wheeler (8-1, 2.03 ERA). Airtime is 6:15 on WCCS, with the first pitch at 6:40.
The Pirates made some moves with their Indianapolis and Altoona rosters yesterday, promoting infielder Jack Brannigan and outfielder P.J. Hilson to the Indians and returning infielders Keiner Delgado and Jesus Castillo to the Curve.
