Yesterday’s storms brought substantial rainfall to Indiana County. The Pennsylvania American Water Company Two Lick Filter Plant reports that 1.75 inches of rain fell in the 24-hour period ending at 7 am this morning, bringing the July total to 3.47 inches of rain.
So far this year, we have received 28.13 inches of rainfall by the PAWC’s measurement.
A Flood Watch is in effect from 11am to 11pm EDT today as flash flooding may occur due to the combination of heavy rain from slow-moving thunderstorms and saturated grounds across the region (with some having previously experienced flooding).
