A motorcyclist was injured in a crash yesterday in Young Township.
Indiana County 911 sent both the Pine Township and Cherryhill Township fire departments out at 3:41 PM to the crash site on Route 422 near Ewings Road. Fire officials said that the motorcyclist hit a deer and was thrown off the bike. The man was not wearing a helmet at the time.
He had to be life-flighted to an area hospital for treatment of various injuries. That landing zone was set up by Pine Township fire crews in Cherryhill Township.
