Altoona pitchers gave up six home runs, three of them in the first inning, as the Curve was belted by Erie 10-6 on Saturday night.
Connor Oliver gave up four runs in the first, and five overall in four innings of work. Mike Walsh was touched up for three runs over two innings and Lyle Larsen gave up two more in the seventh.
Titus Dumitru had three hits, including his fifteenth home run of the season, for the Curve. Murf Gray had two hits and extended his on-base streak to eighteen games, and Callan Moss had another two-hit night. Lonnie White Jr. was 1-for-1 with two walks.
Dominic Pipkin gets the start for the Curve this afternoon in the series finale.
