School districts in Indiana County continue preparations for the start of a new academic year. Indiana Area’s school board will tackle a large list of agreements and other items at its meeting Monday night. Among the decisions to be made is the hiring of a new Senior High School principal, some extra duty pay assignments, admission prices for athletic events, and pay for PIAA officials.
Purchase Line’s school board will also meet tomorrow night, with personnel items and educational agreements on the agenda. They will look to hire head coaches for varsity boys basketball and for softball. The board will also vote on motions to terminate the security agreement with their current provider and hire two other firms, one for unarmed security and one for armed security.
United’s school board meets on Tuesday and is expected to formally accept the resignation of board member Hunter Overdorff. River Valley will meet on Tuesday as well.
Penns Manor’s board will meet on Wednesday.
