The Altoona Curve had Oneil Cruze in the lineup but he did not help matters too much as the Curve went down 16-1 against the Akron Rubberducks last night. Easton Carmichael drove in Altoona’s only run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning. Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk and played eight innings in center field.
Game two of the six-game series is tonight with Matt Ager starting for the Curve.
